coo-ee
Just want to know if there is anyone in my area.
Are there members of a patchwork/quilting guild in the area of the Sutherland Shire or St George region in NSW?

I had a look on Google, could only find, Belrose, Eastwood and Epping groups.
There is something on Georges River Com. Services. Classes in Patchwork at Oatley RSL on Thursdays contact is Sandra Johnson (02) 95796322. Don't know if this is your area or not but thought if it is, this lady might know of a group for you. Good Luck, Sandy.

Thanks Sandy. I appreciate you looking around for me.
I know there are a few quilt shops in my area, but was wondering if anyone was on this site. I don't have the time or opportunity to go to classes so the keys & box on the desk is my lifeline to sanity.

Check the church
Some of the local churches conduct craft classes once a week and you do not have to be a member of the church to go to classes, it is generally a gold coin donation to attend, aslo child minding is avalible........
The church down here has classes on Mondays and many classes are there for you to choose from...
When i first moved to the area from the city i KNEW NO ONE, my daughter's new friend from school said her mum went to the craft group at the local church and said for me to come along,,,,
I went along and stayed for four years not only for classes but also as a teacher, now i never have time, always at work or family commitments.

Irene you are a little too far east for me, and maybe a tad north as well, so I am afraid I can't help you. All the ladies on this forum are my patching buddies, i do not go out to group meetings.
