Default Latest APQ

I can say I saw Marianne's 'Olive's Star' in real life while it was under construction.

I was at weekend sport for the kids, when one of the granparents said that the (then) editor of APQ was in the canteen. Marianne was lovely to meet and after her duty shift was over, politely looked at the work I had with me and showed us what she had brought with her (Olive's Star). I'm lousy with remembering people who are not where I would expect them to be, so I would not have recognised her if she had served me at the tuckshop.

It was a little surreal to meet a person from a magazine in real life.
I saw her again last weekend but decided not to go say hello as celebritites need personal time and shouldn't be stalked.

Some lovely stuff in the latest mag, including Olive's star. Saw a BOM thru Rose Patchwork ( I think) called LOVE NOTES. It is droolworthy!

Wow Mommaduck that would have been cool meeting Marianne in person.
I have to wait until next week to see if my mag is in the mail.

Saw an ad for 'traditional Japanese stencil designs' book in the craft mailbox.
Does anybody have this book or anything like it?
I'm curious about the style and variety of patterns.
I'm actually rather fond of the works of Lalique and wondered if this style was similar.

I met Marianne at the Newcastle Craft Expo, she is lovely to talk to. I told her that I was a forum member, I wondered if anyone else from the forum was there. My only disappointment was being the wrong day to meet Bronwyn Hayes from Red Brolly, otherwise I had a ball.

That is great that you also got to meet Marianne Sandy. I have not heard of Bronwyn Hayes. It's great you had fun Sandy.
